Regarding our passion for reaching global audiences and communities, starting from February 2020 (Vol. 10 No. 1), Journal Communication Spectrum (JCS) will only accept and publish articles in English. For authors who have already submitted in Indonesian, there is a fee for translation and proofreading of IDR 500,000,- We have to take this decision and we are sorry for the impacted authors.

The year 2020 also gave us a lot of blessings, amid the surging Covid-19 pandemic. In early May, we received word from DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) that our journal had been accepted to be formally indexed. Consecutively, at the end of May, we also received news from the Ministry of Research and Technology/ National Research Agency that our journal was officially accredited, and indexed by the Since and Technology Index (SINTA) at rank 3. A pleasing achievement considering this was the first time for Journal Communication Spectrum and also for our institution. Therefore we want to share our energy of happiness by inviting you to send your best work (which of course has never been published by other publishers, and not being submitted to other journals), to jointly develop new perspectives in communication research, media studies and cultural studies.
